I, like many of my peers, are given CD's to 'listen to' by emerging musicians. Luckily for me, Joe Topping was one of those people. He has one of the most beautiful voices I have heard. His songs are delivered with such warmth and sincerity it takes my breath away. Joe is one of the most talented new generation musicians around. I'm thankful that he hails from our shores. Chris While

The first time I heard Joe Topping's, "I'd Die Trying," I was literally stopped in my tracks. This is a classic song sung by truly classy singer. My initial question of, would this be a one off great song on his debut album, was blown right out of the water when I heard 'Love, Loss and Alcohol' - it's full of great songs. Joe Topping is a star in the making - we should be very proud he was born on this side of the Atlantic. I really mean what I say too. Have a lovely Christmas, Love and best, Julie Matthews

It was a real pleasure to sit and enjoy the musical talents of Joe Topping. As both performer and writer he shows all the maturity necessary to carve out a niche for himself and build a career. Our village audience went home very happy after a great night. Catch him when you can and you won't be disappointed. Harvey Andrews

Joe Topping is a young singer-songwriter of absolutely genuine class. He has a voice to die for and a gift to write songs that will last and that others will want to sing. Joe has an increasingly humorous and appealing stage presence that makes listening to and watching him a real pleasure. Although there are no absolute certainties in life, he has to be a good each-way bet to succeed, and I for one, sincerely hope he does. John Wright

It’s tremendously inspiring that a songwriter and performer of Joe Topping’s quality should choose the folk/acoustic genre as a platform for his music, when so many other avenues would be open to him. Good luck Joe. Allan Taylor
